1. Start working on the cover of your book. If you are adept in Photo Shop, Adobe, or any other computer based program for design—have at it! I, on the other hand, am far from a Graphic Designer, but I know someone who is. This Graphic Designer is one of the best in the business and she works freelance on occasion. She works for some of the biggest names in Mass Media Entertainment (Alas, I cannot mention names) and I will never publish a book without her being a big part of the Graphic Design. Her name is Sondra Landrum and her website is www.pixiewizard.com. She is so easy to work with and she always tries to create a brand that reflects the owner (you)! I recommend her without reservation and she doesn’t charge you an arm and a leg. Her prices are fair. She is fast, super creative and one of the best people you will ever meet. If you have your own graphic designer—cool—go with them. Maybe you have a cousin who just graduated Graphic Design School and would help you out. Give him a call—every little bit helps!
